Bourbon Emerald delivered from Aker Langsten

2nd October Bourbon Emerald was delivered from Aker Langsten to Bourbon Offshore Norway AS at Mjølstadneset, Fosnavåg

The Godmother Aud Goksøyr, crushed the Champagne bottle at first attempt, and gave the vessel her name M/V Bourbon Emerald.

The vessel is a UT 745 E, and is 90,7 m long and 18,8 m wide. Bourbon Emerald is the 6th vessel Aker Langsten has delivered to Bourbon Offshore Norway ever, and the 5th vessel delivered during the last two years. Because of the diesel electric propulsion, the noise level onboard is quite comfortable, and the vessel is also a Comfort Class vessel according to the classification society DnV.

The vessel set course from Mjølstadneset to Ålesund with appr. 120 guests onboard. Fortunately the wind was not too bad, and the vessel sailed along the coastline so that the guests could have a glance at the beautiful scenery. The catering crew did a very good job serving the guests.

Many thanks to Captain Nils Breivik and his crew who did a remarkably good job as hosts for the guests onboard.
