Bourbon Offshore Norway places order at Zhejiang Shipbuilding
On 6th. March 2007 Bourbon Offshore Norway AS placed an order for 4 large ultra modern PSV of ULSTEIN PX105MACS design at Zhejiang Shipbuilding Co. Ltd, Ningbo, China. Delivery is scheduled for August of 2009, November 2009, March 2010 and June 2010.
The vessels will be equipped with the full version of the MACS system
which has been jointly developed by Bourbon Offshore Norway AS, PG, UD and Flow
Safe AS.
By introducing the full MACS solution and other improvements related
to carriage of cargo, Bourbon Offshore Norway AS will provide our customers with
a very flexible under deck configuration. The vessels will also be the first to
be fitted with an exhaust solution which provides the navigators with an
obstruction free bridge view as the exhaust will be let out at water level. The
new exhaust system will also reduce a.o. sulphur emissions to air
considerably.
